The work of Dr Federico Bianchini (University of Oslo - ELIXIR Norway) was recently showcased as part of the spotlight series on FAIRsharing Blog highlighting the contributions of FAIRsharing Communities Champions. Bianchini joined the FAIRsharing Community Champions Programme in 2025, as the representative for the ELIXIR Research Data Management Community.
Bianchini led a BioHackathon project in 2025, Towards a more scalable, sustainable, and integrated Research Data Management Ecosystem. As part of this activity, the technical teams of RDMkit and FAIRsharing worked together to develop a Python-based integration that acts as a bridge between the two resources: this script automatically creates and updates FAIRsharing collections based on the content of RDMkit’s Your domain pages.
Bianchini is part of the editorial board of RDMkit and has been working on this service since his involvement in ELIXIR CONVERGE in early 2021.
